Hi, I’m Rowan. My purpose is simple: to share the Gospel by personal connection through permaculture. I believe people come to a knowledge of their Creator through creation and connection, so I work with the land, not against it. Build the soil, and the by product will be fruit. That is how I think about every orchard, veggie bed, pruning job, fence, and path I put my hands to.
My faith sits at the centre of this. Scripture says, I am the Lord that healeth thee… and they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees (Exodus 15:26–27, KJV). I want my work to point to that kind of refreshment. I am following God’s leading and His way, willing to be tested, refined, and proved by Him, while teaching self-resilience and self-sufficiency using permaculture principles. In practice that means respect for people and the environment (God’s creation), aiming for wholistic health and well-being: physical, spiritual, mental, and emotional. I prefer natural products and natural means and methods, avoid toxins where I can, and keep water use wise. Every visit is a chance to mentor, so you understand the why and the how, and you can carry it on with confidence.
That is what I live by: stewardship, honesty, and practical care. Build the soil, serve people, honour God.
